The Corn Man | 069/366
Southern California is a fascinating place. When you think about it [and think about it] we grow up watching Entrepreneurs. I remember the Donut Man (oh, Lord! He'd drive down the street with warm glaze donuts). Then there was the Produce Man (this dude would actually come up rolling with a van/truck full of FRESH produce - especially Collard Greens for my Momma). Watch out! Then there was the Ice Cream Man (I remember the red and white truck with soft serve double ice cream cones). And then there's the iconic Corn Man. The Corn Man is still rolling! But this week I saw he upgraded from the push cart to an automobile.
For those that don't know, this is how it goes: when you hear the bicycle horn you run out side with your US $1. He puts a stick in the hot corn on the cob, baptizes it with soft butter, sprinkles an ungodly amount of cheese on it and tops it off with red chili powder! You have to take my word: it's delicious.
