First Bloom

A surprise for me this morning. Despite the fact that we have had weeks of grey and wet, when I left for work today I noticed that one of the cherry blossoms had started to flower.

The first couple of flowers look kind of desolate on their own, but all being well the rest of the tree will soon be in full flower
