Nice view but...
...shame about the flipping great fields, sky and ocean in the way of those gorgeous telegraph poles!
This is a great spot. It lifts my spirit. I feel this place has a past, a story, a soul - a little bit of magic, perhaps.
The bullocks have been moved off and the days are longer, and we can walk up here again with little kid person and not so little dog thing.
It was a bloomin' marvellous - if a little speedy - leg-stretch this evening, seeing all the hawthorn blossom against the blue sky and hearing the birds in full tweet. I know it's a truism but there's such a lot of natural noise, life and action at this time of year and for me it's mentally energising even when I feel a bit flaky physically.
I've been reading a lot of course stuff today and going a bit mad with terror at the thought that I've got to get everything finished in the next few weeks. I may have to stop showering and cooking for a while because I'm not giving up blipfoto!
Tess swam 100 metres in her swimming lesson today and came home with a certificate. I remember swimming my 100 metres and thinking I was going to drown. I'm a terrible swimmer and can't stand getting my nose in water.
I'm sitting here sniffing freshly cut grass and freshly made curry, the sky is going pink and Tess is sitting on her bed waiting for me to read a few more Michael Rosen poems with her.
If I could stop feeling crap life could be pretty good really...
