world in a grain of sand

This was taken standing in what was always known in the family as "the blackberry field" and I was sorry to notice that one of the finest thickets of brambles has been cleared. Last year I seem to remember that the blackberries ripened really early - I know we didn't get out to pick any before the devil weed (or worse!) on them, as legend has it.
I was surprised at how many other people were out walking on a Monday morning - lucky them! I like this route because there are several viewpoints where you can look at the village. Today there was the bonus? of a topless man sunbathing on a bench. I know it's sunny but really! We are in Oxfordshire, you know.
