Geese in flight

Great day today. The sun was back after a gloomy couple of days, and the temperatures were pleasantly hot, with less humidity. We had choir practice at church this morning, followed by a pot-luck lunch - to get the 'year' underway. We've missed a lot of Sundays over the summer, and some people we hadnt seen in ages - so its always good to get going again.

When we got back, Roger talked to his parents as he does every weekend, and I called my brother and sister-in-law - hadnt spoken to them in quite a while, so it was nice to catch up and hear their voices again. Then we went out for a bike ride, but we decided to have a change from the nearby bike-trail, and drove over to Miami-Whitewater Forest, one of the Hamilton County parks on the west side of the city (we live on the east). Its a nice trail, with more gradients than the bike trail - they dont look that much, but you certainly feel them on a bike. The other drawback is that its quite open, and you're often battling against the wind for some of the loop and today was no exception. Of course, its nice when you have the wind behind you! Having finished our bike ride, we went over to the concessions area, and undid all our good work by having an ice cream!! This is where we found the geese in flight statue and fountain.
