Everyone fisherman has a hat. Every fly-fisherman should have one like this - smelly, battered, covered in examples of his or her trade and (crucially) a store of luck. Heaven forfend forgetting ones special hat on a trip!

Was going to fish today but unfortunate circumstances dictated otherwise. Nonetheless, it was a beauty and the sunset was utterly breathtaking. One of those that will be stored in the biological memory as opposed to the digital one.

Tomorrow, and indeed the rest of the work week is going to be an absolute bastard. I'm up for it. In fact, I'm relishing the fight.
