Restoring Your Faith in Humanity.

As the weather was still holding up, we went out mushrooming today and collected about a kilo of chanterelles. . So we've enough for tonight's tea and enough left over to freeze for later in the winter.

Anyway, on the way home we passed through Balmacara Square which is a small hamlet of listed buildings owned and managed by the National Trust, and, low and behold what's appeared but a half pipe for the local kids.

No fuss, no public enquiry, no big deal.

In fact they even have a supply of equipment that's free to use stashed under the pipe, boards, helmets, pads the lot. There's a wee sign underneath.

"You are welcome to use our half-pipe and the equipment. All we ask is that you leave it here for others to use"

Now how good is that? Makes you feel good just knowing that this sort of thing happens.
