Silves...

Lovely little town Silves, which was the capital of the Moorish Kingdom. We had alovely day, taking in the big red Moorish castle. This is the view of some terracotta roofs from the turrets. After lunch we headed up to Monchique which is the highest point in The Algarve. Spectacular views from the viewpoint and we were really glad we got there under our own steam cause we saw folks on the half day jeep tour who were not even able to get out of the jeep for a photo.

Stopped off at Praia De Grande on the way home, what a lovely beach not too far from our place, sure we'll be back.
