Gerbera
Nice to wake up in my own bed today. N and I have come home for the weekend and will go back to my parents' on Sunday night. I still need some looking after during the day and, at the moment, it's the best arrangement.
My boss phoned this morning to see how things are going. The support of my school continues to be amazing during my difficulties. Coincidently, I dictated a letter to him yesterday - filling him in on the details of my surgery and current situation. Much of it I repeated this morning on the phone but I guess it doesn't matter. He'll get the letter at the beginning of next week, together with the sick notes from my doctor.
Speaking of which... I tried to complete the back of my sick notes with my name, address etc. Frustratingly had to give up part of the way through as my right hand just will not grasp a pen properly for more than a few words. I got horrid stabbing pains in my right shoulder too which forced me to stop. I got upset and my dad finished filling in the boxes for me. So, having already dictated a letter to my mum for my headteacher, she also wrote a thank you card on my behalf too. I can't believe quite how much this uselessness has affected me. It will improve, I must continue to believe it.
My lovely friend, D, came over for an hour or so this evening. Last time I saw her it was my birthday and I was still in hospital. She was amazed at how far I've come in the last fortnight which was good for me to hear. She also brought me this lovely plant.
This month was the first time we haven't actually gone out for our Monthiversary. We had a take-away pizza instead.
