Painting Day Two
Allan, Gordy and Katie on their in-line tricycle overlooking Belhaven Bay, East Lothian.
It was a beautiful morning, bright sun and the only sign of yesterday's fog was the heavy dew on the grass.
A great start to British Summer Time.
I thought I would spend the rest of the morning painting the dining-room, and then give the grass its slightly overdue first cut when the dew had dried off.
I love painting and mowing so much that when Allan and the little ones stopped round at lunchtime to ask me if I would like to go on a bike-ride, it took me a good five seconds to get my coat on!
The ride involved the approximately two mile cliff-top path to the centre of Dunbar, a stop at the newsagents for paper, comics and pens, then a lovely long relaxed chat and a couple of pints outside the Volunteers Arms by the harbour.
And then the easier ride (on average downhill) home along the cliffs.
Great day, although the fog seems to be threatening to return now. This is my third blip in a row with THAT BRIDGE!
And the grass is not cut, and the painting is still unfinished. and fair Euphemia is only barely speaking to me. (Still worth it though!)
