Clamatis

Jane tells me it's this one.

Clematis cirrhosa var. purpurascens 'Freckles'

Hardy Perennial

This eye-catching evergreen clematis gives a much needed injection of colour to the winter garden, when few other plants dare to bloom. This is the earliest of the spring flowering clematis, with cup-shaped pink blooms freckled with maroon-red markings, to give this plant it's name. The delicate blooms are followed by attractive fluffy seedheads that stand proud of the glossy evergreen leaves. Clematis 'Freckles' requires only minimal pruning and makes an excellent specimen for containers and borders. Height: 3m (10'). Spread: 1.5m (5'). Pruning group: 1
