Some bullrushes
Some bullrushes against the sunshine at Great Bookham Common, Surrey. There are a few ponds here and we came here today with great expectations but all we found was a dead grass snake, a few ducks and a toad. I'd hope to find some Canadian pond weed but the National Trust appear to have cleared it all out. The Bookham ponds used to be packed with newts and frogs but since they've been "naturalised" I haven't seen much at all.
I'd like to get in the garden now but I have to prepare to chair the AGM of our estate management company when I get it in the neck from all of my neighbours. I don't know why I do it.
