Hi Ho, Hi Ho...
...it's off to work we go!
These young men were three of the many volunteers at today's NSEA work party -- the third this year. We had wind and rain for the first one, and snow for the second. This was much more enjoyable, and better for photography. It was so warm that I had to take off my jacket for a while.
We were at Terrell Creek, just north of Ferndale, and that's a large oil refinery in the background. It always seems rather odd to me to see people planting trees in the vicinity of a large industrial complex, but there's no reason not to.
The salmon in the stream won't care about the refinery -- as long as none of the oil gets into the water.
