Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

Went to the Strathmore tonight to see half of the All Mozart programme - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and a Horn Concerto. We left at the intermission before the Requiem started!

I have a new concert nemesis to replace "I bathed in perfume lady" and "drunk foghorn woman" - "7 Foot Zit Boy" - who took his seat right in front of me, just as the concert was about to begin. Tom very graciously offered me his seat a few times, but I declined. Just as the music started, the man next to him upped and moved to a different seat. Turns out he was muttering and fidgety and a bit of a nutter, and Tom was perhaps not so gallant after all!

The Strathmore is a great venue for the multitaskers amongst us who like to count as we listen. FYI from my seat there were 130 visible balcony lights, 118 rectangular decorative lights, 14 emergency exit signs, 35 musicians on stage for the first piece and 40 for the second :)
