A place in time

A perfect day!

Warm and sunny - too warm and sunny for March to be honest, more like May, but I'm not complaining.

Got tons done today.

The washing machine was buzzing all day (working that is, not malfunctioning!) getting many loads washed then even got them all dried on the line.

Attacked the driveway with my grandfather's old (and much loved) hoe, which was absolutely cracking at clearing all the weeds that grow up between the cobblestones. (I don't believe in using weedkillers.)

Mr A and The Boy trimmed (cut, pruned, abbreviated...what's the right term?) the apple trees.

And this is a snap of Sophie Aussi - my beloved Scenic. She's called Sophie Aussi, as I had another Scenic for many years before this one and it was at that point that I fell in love with Renault cars and Scenics especially. They are like many-pocketed handbags on wheels (and about as fast, ha ha) with storage cubby-holes everywhere. So, my first (second-hand) Scenic was named Sophie, so I named my second (second-hand) Scenic Sophie Aussi, as in Sophie Two or Sophie Too...but that was a bit too subtle for some people. Anyway, this was her first wash and spruce (yes, I schnozzed the insides too!) for 2012 and doesn't she look great?

Finished the day off with a homemade lasagne with a glass and a half of a scrummy red wine.

So all in all, a very good day indeed.
