E man built a cloud chamber for a science expo at school.

A supersaturated vapor of isopropyl alcohol is created by cooling the base of the chamber with dry ice.

Ionizing radiation can be visualized when charged particles from radioactive decay move rapidly through the alcohol vapor, ionizing the molecules along the path of the particles. This results in condensation of the supersaturated vapor into a cloud trail.
