Tombstone Rook

In Kirkwall Cathedral graveyard. There is a rookery across the road in the Earl's Palace grounds. Rooks have greatly expanded in nymbers in recent years in Orkney, the reason is unknown.

I headed off to St Margarets Hope and walked out to Hoxa Head. The fog didn't really burn off, though it was quite sunny. Nice views of two short-eared owls, three hen harriers etc.
