Nesting

A great day for a wander around the university campus.

The sun was out and the thermometer hit 15 degrees. The students were out in force in summer clothing. They were walking, cycling and skateboarding.

The wildlife has also sprung to life with nests being built around the lake. This Coot was sitting patiently on her nest while her partner was away collecting reeds to add to the nest.

Had difficulty choosing today's blip as I had quite a few shots that I liked. In the end I went with this because in a few weeks the nest will be well hidden amongst the new reeds so may not get another chance to get a shot like this.

I believe it is to be another good day tomorrow.
