Forget Me Not

Forget me not my dearest friend
And I shall always live
No matter what might be my end
Nor what years I am give

As I see your face in my mind's eye
Those soft cheeks a-blush
And remembering times with a sigh
All sound then turns to hush

Those miles we walked in companionable cheer
With never a word there spoke
Are relegated now to yesteryear
Since time, my world, it broke

So walk those miles once more for me
And to each my kisses give
And forget me not my dearest friend
So I shall always live
