Why?

Foggy morning today here and elsewhere it seems from the (bad) news today. I must admit that I like getting out and about early in the morning, but I could never see the attraction of being cold and damp and rather too close to the water. I went to a famous rowing College as an undergrad and never once got in an eight.

It has been a very busy week, but a relaxing weekend has begun with a walk to town first thing and a trip to the theatre to see the Richmond Amateur Dramatic Society perform Twelfth Night this evening.

I have been wanting to do more B&W but find I have lost the skill of pre-visualising in monochrome, so this was a decision to convert after the fact. You can see the colour version here.

Will setting the camera to B&W will help with pre-visualisation or not? While it will provide a preview, it also puts an extra bit of distance between photographer and subject. Hmmm ...
