Around the perimeter of the garden whatever is growing is there of its own choice. Clumps of daffodils grow where they want to grow, as do the ivy and the ferns.

How long do I have to wait for the masses of wild bluebells in the woods to show their colour? The warm spell we are currently enjoying will be enticing them on. Soon they will be here.

As you can see, the garden wall is not high from this point, but from the other side on the lane, the wall stands around 18ft high. A little further along the wall and built into it, there used to be a tall stone tower but that has long gone now. Just the base remains.

Meanwhile.... please may we have a good summer this year...?
