An evening of celebrations!

My Girl and her best friend and her Mum & Dad were away to watch the Speedway Scottish Open Championship at Armadale this evening.

While Mrs blip and myself were at The Queens Hall, Edinburgh, to see but mainly hear the wonderful, The Civil Wars!

If you've never heard or heard of them, then you don't know what you're missing.

Make it your duty to listen to at least one of their songs from their debut album 'Barton Hollow'. (They won two Grammies for it)

They'll be back to our shores in November for some live dates. This evenings show was a sell-out.

Back to the Speedway, Edinburgh Monarchs No1 rider, Andy Tully won the Championship for the first time!

He's been on the rostrum before but it's third time lucky for him this year.

Perhaps a taste of what's to come in 2012!
