Another of those strange days when the light proved unexpectedly problematic..

Also another day when the poodles were expectedly problematic, waking up the neighbours at 6.30 am with their barking.

The Avon is very low,in fact pretty much fordable along the whole of this stretch, and badly silted because there have been no winter torrents to scour it clean. This pallet is typical of the debris along the banks.

One sure sign of Spring - the swans have started nesting on their island.
