So, whats your view of this concept ?
These builders bags full of soil are labelled Bristol City Council.
I first noticed them last year. They had different flowers in then, some had vegetables or herbs in.
There are 6 or 7 of the bags in this area - you can see some more in the distance on the picture. Some of them have moved into new groups of bags or new isolated positions since I first found them.
They rest under a road flyover near the Cumberland Basin. The lock is just beyond those cars. The area is large, tarmacked and inhabited by the large concrete legs that hold up the road.
So, are these installations:
- A display of humour?
- Art?
- A brilliant idea to bring life to a bleak area?
- A community garden?
- A farce?
- A modern stylish take on the meaning of gardens?
- A sad attempt to save money?
- Something else altogether?
I have mixed views of them. Tell me your own view as I would like to know. Comments below folks!
