Edit: My original version here was too lengthy. So I truncated it to the description above. And that is probably too brief. So here I go again.

I am on immune suppressing drugs for my autoimmune disease. However, it has not helped the neuropathy, which leaves me with painful hands and feet. My doctor suggests more immune suppression, which will allow me to eliminate several other drugs (yay) but will leave me more susceptible to infection. The caveat is that the new drug may not help my painful hands and feet, but at least should keep it from getting worse. Decisions, decisions, decisions. No one said life was easy.
