Rainbow Makers

Malcolm and Katie at the breakfast table this morning, playing with the Spectroscopes we got at the Science Festival. The brilliant sunshine this morning made bright rainbows as the light diffracted off the CDs. The camera struggled with the intensity and purity of the colours but I think it's quite an interesting image. It was certainly fun :)

Big Scope.

I finally sorted my "bikes in the wrong town" situation as well today. Hooray for Scotrail's bike policy - although it used to be better, it's still the best. The other companies require you to book a day in advance and even then the booking system often doesn't work and the guards are often surly. You just wheel your bike on the Scotrail trains - but they can chuck you off if there's too many. There were 4 on there this evening, which is technically too many, but thankfully there was no chucking off!
