Meteor!

Took a trip up into the Pentlands tonight. With a new moon rising well out of the way of darkness it was a perfect night to have another crack at the Milky Way. That's the theory, in practice a mist started to come over from the Forth ruining any chance of nice clear skies, the stars were very visible but the mist was spoiling the shots.

What I did catch though was a meteor, which you can see in this shot just to the left of Orion, it's very faint on the pic but was very bright to the eye. Hoping for clear skies tomorrow.
