It's funny how...

some songs your hear immediately trigger a memory. Our local radio station played a U2 song today "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" and I instantly thought of one of Roy's ex students who was tragically killed in a skiing accident at the age of 32. He and his new wife and a group of friends were skiing in the alps and he had gone just off piste and was caught in an avalanche, his wife was videoing him skiing and caught the whole episode on camera.

Hundreds of people attended his funeral,as he and his father also owned and operated the dry ski slope in Kidsgrove. I can, still to this day, remember every detail of the funeral, the opening song was "I hate Mondays", lots of eulogies, laughter and tears. At his funeral they played the video of him and his friends skiing, up to the point of the avalanche, he was a lovely young man, he died doing what he loved.
