The Butterfly's Wings

About a year ago I blipped some windows I was reviving from the tomb. They can be seen in the top right of this blip as well. Last week the new, expanded Mariposa Food Co-op opened here in this old building that started life as a bank and had a mid-life as a church. The old store, which I blipped the other day, is where the memories are.

This new place? I am very impressed with all the work that went into making it happen, but when I walk the aisles I'm a bit put off by the prices. I was telling a friend who is part of the management tonight that the frozen meat selection is the second most expensive in the city, and the only one higher sells game meats (which, in the US, must always be raised on a farm or a preserve). The back-story is that the expansion project became far more expensive and ambitious during the past year and required more bank loans. But business is very brisk, the goat milk's delicious, and everything looks like a success.

Well there's my blip for tonight. It's been a very good day.
