Off with their heads!

Chef has turned garden labourer again for the season so Hercules is back!

Spring has generally motivated us to step up a gear and now that we can see all the bulbs we missed when clearing the old beds it's time to give them a new home.

This poor we tulip was, however, a casualty of still hard soil (so I'm told). I was devastated! Tulip's are by far my favourite flower. I've rescued what's left but I know it will never fulfil it's true potential and I'll never know what colour it should have been. Sitting there in it's little vase just makes me sadder by the day :(

On a slightly cheerier note it was a very productive evening in chez mac. Car light bulbs were changed, loft flooring was laid, kitchen and bathroom were scrubbed, hoovering done and scrummy veg fajitas made and consumed with glee. The avocados were perfectly ripe for the guacamole and a dollop of creme fraiche made up for not quite enough cheese.

We're now exhausted and slumped on the sofa while half-heartledly watching the news but really playing on our phones - teehee!
