Messing about on the river

I managed to get this shot whilst I was heading home tonight. Today was quite a good day for photos, so it was hard to choose one to put up on Blipfoto. I decided to go for this one as a) my partner told me to do so! and b) the rest of the reasonable shots have trees in them... and I have done a lot of tree shots lately.

Odd to think that what I would like to do is more street photography, but with the lack of time and imminent arrival of daughter no.2, I seem to keep doing landscapes. Or, it might be because an SLR is not the best tool for street photos and just a bit too imtimidating for people (see blip 9th February 2012)... Oh for the cash for a Leica M9. I guess I can keep dreaming!
