'String' signs
Yesterday Carys came home and said she had been on a school trip looking for 'string signs'. Now maybe I was just tired, but it took me a long while and a few questions to figure out she meant signs of Spring! Her t's and p's are still a little interchangable. So on the way back from school this morning I thought I would do this blip in her honour.
It was Open Morning at school today, parents get to wander round all the classes watching the lessons in progress and then go to assembly. I spent most of my time in 1/R and 1/2, the two classes that Carys could be in next year. I also popped into Reception otherwise Carys wouldn't have thought I was there and boy would I have been in trouble at home time. As it was she didn't see me come into assembly, assumed I wasn't there and gave me a hard time for that.
Class 3/4 did their assembly. They have had about six lessons on the African drums and with the drum teacher did an amazing routine, which if you had been listen from outside you wouldn't have known it was 8 and 9 year olds playing. I watched Carys through out and she didn't move a muscle, completely transfixed. Daddy got a rendition of the drums assembly when he came home tonight, so it definately captured her imagination.
