Boarded Up

We're getting our windows renovated, I haven't taken to squatting, not yet anyway.

The main part of today was taking my Dad to the first of his regular dementia check ups. He's going to have them every 8 weeks from now on. The good news is that the tablets, which help maintain the status quo, appear to be working well and should have an effect for a good few years. My Dad is taking it all in his stride and when asked if he needed any more help replied "You could help me win the pools if you like", this isn't humour as an avoidance tactic it's just his nature. The other bit of Dad philosophy for the day was when he was asked if he worried about the future - "why worry miles ahead when you don't know what's round the next corner".

Stream the new Shins album, they're great.
