Scrap

A fun-filled Saturday. First off a visit to Stockbridge with Arlo to pick up a little mother's day gift (he gave me an incredulous look when I was taking this photo, wise beyond his years). Then our usual swimming trip.

The big event of the day for me was running the Mighty Deerstalker 10k (and the rest) in Innerleithen. A night time cross-country/hill run/obstacle course which turned out to be absolutely brutal. 10k (and the rest) turned out to be 9 miles - including running along a rive and clambering up a steep scree slope. All told pretty pleased with my time 1hr 58mins, finish 250th out of 1650. I was under prepared, but competitive instincts made me run myself into the floor. Post race was home, vomit, bed.

Driving down to the race my psych up tunes came from those lovely TV on the Radion chaps. This one is a bit of a beast.
