Transformation

I promise not to keep blipping the new concourse at Kings Cross Station but it is just that after 25 years of using a dark, dingy and dirty station with its drab concourse, an affront to architacture, it is just marvellous to see this spectacular public space that can just help to make the travelling experience a little bit more pleasant.

This is the view from the north end of the balcony that goes round the outside of the semi-circular concourse and pointing towards the centre of the roof support behind which I took yesterday's blip The Roof.

There. I'm done. All those who would accuse me of being a railway enthusiast, please note that these to blips have not featured a single train and have marvelled at the architectural brilliance of this new London landmark.
