International Man of Mystery......
....twas the '21st and a bit' birthday of Mrs Scobes this evening, so Owen and I surprised her with a visit to Chez Pierre's for dinner.....and very nice it was too. Good chat, good food, great wine and a price which wasn't cheap, but seemed pretty fair value.
However, I almost choked on my north atlantic prawns with ginger, garlic and mango when I read he is also offering restaurant management consultancy and business health checks. Now forgive me for being blunt, but we are talking about the chap whose previous venture of some 100 restaurants went breasts-up in spectacular fashion a few years back. Would you gamble that he'd learned some valuable lessons about business?.......mmmmmm....not sure.
Anyhoo, he didn't have chocolate crepes on the menu, but when Owen asked if he'd make one, Monsieur Levicky turned out a masterpiece of light fluffy crepeyness and Owen was well chuffed. Good service.
Work was amazing in a scary way today, had a meeting with the big boss and HR which will either result in the truth coming out, or me getting sacked in a cover-up. Fingers crossed that I'm rewarded for refusing to play politics.
