Cake day

I spent a few hours baking today and made a triple layered raspberry ripple cake and a batch of nanaimo bars. I'd never tried the cake before and I think it went ok even though I did get the fear over making some sugar syrup! Also my sponges did sink in the middle when they cooled down but I think that was due to me opening the oven door to turn them around - Ma's oven doesn't heat evenly, damn it! We'll see how it tastes tomorrow.
