Like a circle in a spiral,

I found this piece of grass art this morning, a mown pathway leads from the rear of the church. It immediately reminded me of Gwennap Pit .

I wonder if the congregation went out into the open air, stood around the preacher and listened to a sermon, as happened many years ago at Gwennap? Reverting to such practices may well help get your message across, it seems far more normal to me than sitting in serried ranks on hard wood being harangued.
