Clock Tower

This is one of 4 statues that are on Leicesters Clock Tower. It`s the most identifiable structure in the city. Every body meets at the clock tower or if you`re directing someone in the city it`s easier to point them toward the tower and direct them from there. It was built in 1868, using money from public donations and the statues are of the 4 benefactors of the tower, this chap being Simon De Montfort [Earl of Leicester}. It`s a beautiful structure having benefitted from a clean up in recent years.
