Fairtrade Cotton Shoelaces

Our event for this year's Fairtrade Fortnight was to open a 'pop-up' Fairtrade Cafe for one day to promote Fairtrade products. The theme is Fairtrade Cotton and we wore our cotton T-shirts and shoelaces on the day.

It was a great day. I was on coffee/tea and the till. I spent last night cooking brownies with Fairtrade chocolate and sugar. It was a sumptuous menu of pancakes with bananas and chocolate or sugar and lemon, smoothies, the real deal coffee, chocolate chip cookies, cereal bars,and banana bread.

Then it was time to clean up and shut down. Thanks to AG of SuperValu for the loan of the cafe.
