Justice and Plenty - yeah right!

Pardon the sarcasm but bankers don't get much love and understanding nowadays. This is a carving of the Bank of Scotland's coat-of-arms on top of what was once a bank, now the Counting House pub, at the corner of George Square.
The twin figures are Justice with her scales and Plenty with her cornucopia of money. The Latin phrase Tanto Uberior translates as "so much the more plentiful".
I guess the founding fathers of the banking industry had high ideals and could not have foreseen what has happened in recent years.
