Camouflauge
Tim riding one switchback level up.
This was the first time to Marys Peak. It sits in the coastal range not too far outside of Corvallis where OSU is located. To reach the top we climbed 2000' through sun then rain and eventually wind creating what must have been at least a 10º temp drop. With cloud cover there wasn't too much of a view so we descended quickly to get back into the cover of the trees. 2000' of switchbacks, traversing fairly technical trails, took about 30 minutes. I'm sure, if dry, it would have been a little faster, but the wet roots reminded me of East coast riding and created a some great challenges.
