Diary extract

October school week. David, Alan, me and Mum L holidaying in a cottage in St Monan's, Fife.

Woke up at 8am. Heard Alan blethering to himself. Checked on him. He wanted up to watch a video. Got him sorted. Got showered and somehow managed to soak the bathroom floor! Had breakfast then David headed off to the golf range. After lunch we all went to St Andrews. Love it there. David gave us a tour of his new workplace. Very nice.

Went to the West Sands and had a lovely walk to the water's edge. Alan was in hysterics as we were playing dare with the waves. He wanted us to push him further and further into the water! The wheelchair was already sinking! Mum L was shouting Man Overboard every time a wave came in and Alan thought this was hilarious. We also laughed at D's beanie hat! Oh I love St Andrews!

Stopped at the supermarket on the way back to the cottage for a few essentials....mainly lemons for the gin. Got in and D poured us G&TS, ice and a slice. Yum! They always taste even better when we're on holiday! Prepared dinner - chicken korma - it was delish! Alan was exhausted so was in bed by 8.30. Wanted Gran to read his stories.

Dinner over we cosied in the cottage lounge with our topped up G&T's, a box of milk tray, and the TV. Think the three of us had all dozed off within minutes! I blame the sea air!!! ;-))
