Church of the Holy Rude, Stirling
Close to Stirling Castle is this gem of a church. In the mid 1600s the church congregation split and so in-reconcilable was this split, a wall was built across the middle with the two congregations worshipping for the next three hundred years in the same building, but separated by the wall.
In the mid 1930s the wall was taken down and the church restored.
This is the view from the chancel looking down the nave. Of note are the irregular roof beams.
