If you want to get ahead...

I found this hat box in a bric-a-brac shop in Carlisle, Pennsylvania 15 years ago. It cost me $60! On investigating the labels I discovered it had been on the SS Mauretania, SS America, SS Normandie in the charge of Zendka Hoza. On June 6th 1934 it travelled from Cherbourg to New York on SS Bremen in the custody of Alfred Pavel.

I have no idea who these people were but they seemingly could afford the best in trans-Atlantic travel.
