Low Life

following in Katie's footsteps

A day of adventures. Mummy and Granny spent the day at the Sanctuary, so Dad and Uncle David took the girls to the National Gallery to find the pictures from Katie's picture show. Sophia has also been learning about Van Gogh at school and so wanted to see his pictures, but when we were searching she saw a Monet and got really excited - apparently he is her absolute favourite! We followed this up with a trip on an old style Routemaster, a ride on the underground, Buckingham Palace, Household Cavalry, Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament (we didn't work out where Guy Fawkes hid the gunpowder!), St Pauls and Covent Garden - a man juggling knives whilst standing on a tightrope - "we have never in our lives seen such a thing". Then met up with Mummy and Granny for tea before getting the train back home to get two shattered girls tucked up in bed.
