Utterly Gothic

Beautifully sunny day for our last day in Whitby. Had a walk up Caedmons Trod and across to the church and abbey where I took this shot. One can't visit Whitby with out doing a church yard shot!

The cross in the distance is Caedmons Cross and Whitby can be seen in the background. It's a great view from up on the cliff.

Took a walk down the 199 steps back to Church Street where momentum naturally propelled me into the Board Inn at the foot of them.

A few beers later I was back at the cottage and sat on the balcony enjoying the view.

Met the rest of the family for a drink in the evening and had an indian meal. It's been a lovely week with fab weather...sad to have it come to an end but at least with it only being an hour or so away I can continue to get my Whitby fix until next time!
