When you have two slices of toast, it makes sense to hold them one in each hand!

A thoughtful day today. Today would have been the 1st birthday of the son of a friend in California, but he passed away when he was just 4 and a half months old. I think of him often as D passes each milestone that Noah didn't get the chance to reach. 5 weeks ago we celebrated D's first birthday and today was Noah's birthday so we baked chocolate chip cookies. I had the day off work - I always appreciate the extra time I get with D on non-work days, but today I appreciated little man's company even more and hugged him extra tight.
