Cherry Plum

Impington, Cambridgeshire. It flowers early in spring and might be confused with Blackthorn. Cherry Plum has the young shoots green and the leaves emerge with the flowers. Blackthorn has thorns, the young shoots are brown and the leaves emerge after the flowers.
