Hotwells Road, Bristol
Row of houses in the Avon Gorge. Further up the road is a lovely but tiny little semi circular colonnade of houses that were once shops.
This area of Bristol was known for its hot spring and people travelled long distances in hope of a cure.
There used to be a lot more buildings in this area relating to the spring.
Further back and higher up in Clifton there is a special graveyard for the travellers who sadly did not get what they hoped for. I presume some people improved and recovered or no one would have travelled here at all.
